On the 2023 Australian Monitor and Area Championships in Brisbane on the weekend, 16-year-old operating phenom Cameron Myers continued his record-setting season with a second-place end within the senior males’s 1,500m last in 3:38.02, beating Jakob Ingebrigtsen’s U16 world document of three:39.92 by practically two seconds.
